Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HES gTasks ("the Service"), operated by Henry Enterprises and Services, LLC.

1. Acceptance

By signing in to the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not sign in or use the Service.

2. The Service

HES gTasks is a companion application for Google Tasks. It accesses your Google Tasks on your behalf via OAuth 2.0, provides additional features (kanban view, dashboard, recurring tasks, REST API, MCP connector), and stores recurrence rules locally. The Service is provided "as is" and may change or be discontinued at any time.

3. Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding access to your Google account and any API keys you generate within the Service. You must not share API keys with parties you do not authorize to access your task data. You may revoke API keys and change their per-list permissions at any time from the API Keys page, and delete your entire account from the Profile page, within the app.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of Google's terms or any applicable law.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, ACL enforcement, or other Service controls.
• Use the Service to store data that violates third-party rights.
• Abuse the Service in a way that impairs availability for other users.

5. Rate limits and fair use

API access is rate limited to 60 requests per minute per API key. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts that materially exceed reasonable use.

6. Privacy

Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. To permanently delete your account and all stored data we hold about you, use the "Delete account" action in the Danger zone section of the Profile page within the Service. You may additionally revoke our access from your Google account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms. On termination, your stored credentials, API keys, per-list grants, and recurrence rules are deleted. Your Google Tasks data, which lives in your Google account, is unaffected.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HENRY ENTERPRISES AND SERVICES, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the dashboard at least 30 days in advance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
